Fundación Proa is a contemporary art centre located in the traditional neighbourhood of La Boca in the city of Buenos Aires. For more than 10 years it has carried out temporary exhibitions of national and foreign artists, and organised educational and exchange programmes with prestigious cultural institutions.

The building of the Fundación will remain closed during 2007 due to the execution of a great extension project in charge of the Italian studio Caruso-Torricella.
In the meantime, other various activities, except for exhibitions, will keep on being developed, such as the carrying out of ‘Taller Proa Cine ’07’ (Proa Film Workshop ’07), and the book publications. Through this website, we will be giving more information about these projects and, especially, about the progress in the refurbishment of the building.
In 2008, Proa will reopen its doors with the Marcel Duchamp exhibition Una obra que no es una obra “de arte” (A work that is not a work “of art”)
