Fundación PROA presenta, durante los meses de setiembre y octubre, la exhibición "Diego Rivera". La muestra es un recorrido por toda la producción del maestro del muralismo mexicano a través de 36 obras de la Colección del Estado de Veracruz, México. Una sección de fotografía histórica, proveniente del acervo del Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo, Mexico D.F. da cuenta de los diferentes momentos en la vida del artista. La sección especial "El Mundo de Diego Rivera" presenta diferentes elementos de la cultura popular mexicana que son afines a la obra de Diego Rivera.

La exhibición se divide en 4 secciones:

Pintura
Colección del Estado de Veracruz, México.
Incluye 36 obras realizadas entre 1908 y 1956. En estos trabajos se reflejan los diferentes momentos de desarrollo del artista: sus primeros estudios en la Academia San Carlos, sus estancias en Cataluña, en París y la experiencia cubista. El retorno a México y la recuperación de lo autóctono, desde la integración al programa muralista de José Vasconcelos hasta su última producción.

La relación de Frida Kahlo y Diego Rivera está registrada en esta exposición en 96 fotografías escogidas de momentos e instantes en los largos encuentros amorosos que vivieron. Esta colección del Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo recoge también el valor artístico de grandes fotógrafos como Guillermo Kahlo, Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Edward Weston, Peter Juley, Ansel Adams y otros. Este panorama documenta los diferentes momentos históricos que vivieron cargados de intenso contenido político, la niñez, la muerte, el amor reflejan el desarrollo de una de las vidas más interesantes del siglo XX.

El mundo de Diego Rivera
Reconstrucción de Judas y Altar de muertos en memoria de Diego y Frida
Esta sección de la exposición recrea el complejo mundo creativo de Diego Rivera: sus antecedentes populares, su pintura mural, sus objetos. El artista Humberto Spíndola reconstruye algunos de los Judas que coleccionaba Diego y que actualmente se encuentran en la Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo. Acompañando estos Judas se presenta un altar de muertos en honor a Diego y Frida.

La Catrina
Reproducción del mural "Sueño de una tarde dominical en la Alameda Central".
En este mural la imagen de la Catrina es centralmente presentada. Tomado este icono popular de Jose Guadalupe Posadas, se exhiben también 10 grabados del artista actualmente colección del Museo Mural Diego Rivera.

Proa Foundation presents, during the months of September and October, the exhibition "Diego Rivera". The exhibition is a journey through all the production of the Master of the Mexican muralismo through 36 works of the Collection of the State of Veracruz, Mexico. A section of historical photography property of the Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo, Mexico D.F. illustrates the different moments in the life of the artist. The special section "the World of Diego Rivera" displays different elements from the Mexican popular culture that are compatible with the work of Diego Rivera.

The exhibition is divided in 4 sections:

Painting
Collection of the State of Veracruz, Mexico.
It includes 36 works made between 1908 and 1956. In these works the different periods of the artist are reflected: his first studies in the Academy San Carlos, his stays in Catalonia, Paris and the cubista experience. The return to Mexico and the recovery of the native thing, from integration to the muralista program of Jose Vasconcelos to its last production.

This panorama documents the different historical moments that they lived loaded on intense political content, the childhood, the death, the love reflect the development of one of the most interesting lives of the XXth century.

Reconstruction of Judas and Altar in memory of Diego and Frida
This section of the exhibition recreates the complex creative world of Diego Rivera: its popular antecedents, their painting mural, its objects. The artist Humberto Spindola reconstructs some of the Judas who collected Diego and who at the moment is in the Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera.
