We reached the end of Algunos Artistas / 90-HOY, an exhibit that allowed us to wander and investigate the art scene in Argentina from 90 'to this day. The sample is composed by Gustavo Bruzzone aesthetic visions, Alejandro and Stephen Tedesco Ikonickoff three collectors who lived with the performers, pushed for his work and today share three distinct rooms the result of their choices.
It remains for us to celebrate and share the views of who also gave their eyes and their words to the expression of Algunos Artistas / 90-HOY:
"This exhibit early and intermediate steps and subtle artists Jorge Macchi (Col. Tedesco), the bright Avello; Gachi Hasper, Paul Siquier and Fabian Burgos, with geometric elements, Andres Compagnucci, which thrives on the cartoon, Miguel Harte that art reflects that intimacy only interested, Raul Flores (Col. Ikonicoff) with digital photography, and more. Valuable, uneven, festive, this interesting sample file back to ratify the research profile of the Fundación Proa exhibits ". Victoria Verlichak, Revista Noticias.
"With an undeniable emphasis on the 90s, talkative mood without Central conservatorship, the sample was asked about the changes they experienced artistic idiosyncrasies and art scene in Buenos Aires from that time until today. And somehow opens a space to generate curiosity and questions, with the feeling that there is much still to say ... Some young artists with lethargy and generates curiosity, questions. And the feeling that there is still a lot to say. " Claudia Iglesias, Página 12.
"It is not the first time the Proa Foundation puts the focus in recent history or becomes soundboard trends crossing the art scene. "Algunos Artistas / 90-HOY " discover, in part, the landscape of the past two decades, through Gustavo Bruzzone collections, and Alejandro Esteban Ikonicoff Tedesco.
(...) The sample is well told. It opens with portraits of the artists who staged the story, taken with the lens Alberto infallible Schoijett Goldstein and Rosana. Then there are the works of master Pablo Suarez alongside those of his disciples Miguel Harte and Marcelo Pombo. With few words Pombo failed to define the attitude of the artists of the 90s: 'I only care what is three feet from me'. The 90 were not easy. One entire wall brought the fight hoards among painters, as Marcia Schvartz, defended the expressive gesture and art with contents. At his side are paintings of Alfredo Prior, Tulio de SAGASTIZABAL or Emiliano Miliyo, ornamental facing Jorge games Gumier Maier and Omar Schiliro ". Ana Martínez Quijano, Ámbito Financiero.
"Being part of a society where the state has little-but more accurate would be to say no-interest in promoting the arts, is a finding that Fundación Para present works representative of the local scene of the nineties until today taking as private collections materials Gustavo Bruzzone, Esteban Alejandro Ikonicoff and Tedesco. The sample is an example of what can be achieved under the patronage. " Laura Isola, Perfil.
"More than a complete picture of Argentine art of the last quarter century, the exhibition is an anthology Bow exquisite that rescues these forms of production and hoarding. As perfect gems of nonsense in the world, produced more than 300 works by 120 artists show the huge variety of proposals that emerged during those two decades. " Daniel Molina, La Nación.
