On May 31th, Fundación Proa commemorates Louise Bourgeois' death first anniversary: free admission for all visitors from 11AM to 7PM.
The date coincides with the presentation at Proa of the artist's largest exhibition in Latin America, Louise Bourgeois: The Return of the Repressed. Since its opening on March 19th, more than 45 000 people have visited the show.
Maman, Bourgeois' giant spider installed in Proa's esplanade, continues to attract crowds, from locals to tourists, students, passers-by and neighbors.
In occasion of this anniversary, Proa will upload in its website an audio guide of the exhibition by its curator, Philip Larratt-Smith, in English and Spanish.
In addition, on Tuesday at 4PM, Proa's Auditorium will screen the documentary film Chère Louise by Brigitte Cornand: a journey into an unclassifiable artist.
