Temporada Alta
{NOTA_BAJADA}

Temporada Alta is a program designed by PROA21 to accompany multidisciplinary artistic proposals, an experimental stage with an open-ended outcome.

After the first edition held in 2023, and with the enthusiasm that still radiates within us, we launch the second edition: TA24. Once again, we invite four artists with diverse backgrounds and aesthetics to create an unprecedented work from our garden, to be presented in the same space on summer Saturdays at sunset.

The invited artists are Celia Argüello, Ana Gurbanov, Hugo Martínez, and Ariel Invernizzi. The four, along with their creative teams, have been working on-site since October, building their projects in dialogue with a mentor to deepen the critical work in the development of each proposal, aiming to promote exchange between emerging artists and references from different artistic fields. This year, mentoring is provided by Agustina Comedi, Carmen Baliero, Fernando Rubio, and Mariana Obersztern.

During the research/creation phase, the PROA21 space witnesses days of discussion and physical work, both in the garden and indoors when the intensity of the sun requires shelter. Day by day, each artist with their teams and affections inhabits the space and plays with it, dancing on the grass or performing acrobatics in the mud.

The cycle of public presentations, from January 13 to March 30, consists of three unique and consecutive performances of each project with free admission. Although the four projects share the starting point and space, their poetics form a random yet coherent constellation of languages and aesthetics that resonate in contemporary art.
