Penumbra: Dia Art Foundation
This book brings together a selection of artists’ writings, critical essays, interviews, and artwork documentation that expand upon the experience proposed by the exhibition “Penumbra: Dia Art Foundation.” Fundación Proa presents nine key figures from the international art scene — Agnes Martin, Andy Warhol, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, James Turrell, John Chamberlain, Richard Serra, Robert Irwin, Tehching Hsieh, and Walter De Maria — whose works from the Dia Collection explore the conceptual and minimalist practices of the 1960s and 1970s and their resonances in the present, challenging perceptual conventions through light and space.
