Proa Foundation presents, during the months of September and October, the exhibition "Diego Rivera". The exhibition is a journey through all the production of the Master of the Mexican muralismo through 36 works of the Collection of the State of Veracruz, Mexico. A section of historical photography property of the Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo, Mexico D.F. illustrates the different moments in the life of the artist. The special section "the World of Diego Rivera" displays different elements from the Mexican popular culture that are compatible with the work of Diego Rivera.

The exhibition is divided in 4 sections:

Painting - Collection of the State of Veracruz, Mexico.
It includes 36 works made between 1908 and 1956. In these works the different periods of the artist are reflected: his first studies in the Academy San Carlos, his stays in Catalonia, Paris and the cubista experience. The return to Mexico and the recovery of the native thing, from integration to the muralista program of Jose Vasconcelos to its last production.

The relation of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera is registered in this exhibition in 96 selected photographs. This collection of Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera also gathers the artistic value of great photographers like Guillermo Kahlo, Manuel Bravo Alvarez, Edward Weston, Peter Juley, Ansel Adams and others. This panorama documents the different historical moments that they lived loaded on intense political content, the childhood, the death, the love reflect the development of one of the most interesting lives of the XXth century.

The world of Diego Rivera - Reconstruction of Judas and Altar in memory of Diego and Frida
This section of the exhibition recreates the complex creative world of Diego Rivera: its popular antecedents, their painting mural, its objects. The artist Humberto Spindola reconstructs some of the Judas who collected Diego and who at the moment is in the Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera. Accompanying these Judas an altar in honor to Diego and Frida appears.

The Catrina - Reproduction of the mural " Sueño de una tarde dominical en la Alameda Central".
In this mural the image of the Catrina is centrally displayed. Considering that this popular icon was taken from Jose Guadalupe Posadas, 10 engravings of the artist are also exhibited.
